APNA is here for your PHN

As the peak professional body for nurses working in primary health care, APNA is here to help meet the needs of your PHN and our members.

APNA currently collaborates with approximately 70% of PHNs across Australia.

The level of support we provide is based on the needs of your PHN and includes:

  1. PHN organisational membership to ensure your staff are supported;
  2. APNA Communication Credits to promote your work to the nurses who need to hear it;
  3. Nurse Support Line subscription to support the nurses in your catchment;
  4. APNA Online Communities of Practice to get in front of the nurses in your area; and,
  5. Tailored programs, from education to mentoring, that are relevant to your PHN community and workforce needs.

Let APNA help you meet your operational goals by supporting nurses.

Email, print, video, podcast, social media – these are just a couple of the channels we use to regularly engage and educate thousands of nurses across Australia.

APNA Communication Credits allow organisations and businesses to communicate with primary health care nurses via APNA’s content and channels. Credits can be purchased for educational, sponsored editorial and marketing purposes.

APNA Online Communities of Practice Package

Our newest benefit and tool for members, the APNA Online Community, is a place for nurses from all walks of primary health care and all corners of Australia to come together and seek support, share wisdom, and gain knowledge.

APNA can create a local Community of Practice for the nurses in your PHN’s catchment, allowing you to get in front of and engage with nurses in one easy spot.

Tailored Nursing Programs

APNA understands that each PHN is different due to varying health priority areas and workforce challenges. Depending on what you need, APNA can tailor a program to suit your PHN. For example, we have delivered webinars on local health needs, provided mentoring and education to new nurses, and have plenty of additional resources and tools for your PHN to get the most out of your health care workforce.

Contact Project Manager Rebekah Cox, via rebekah.cox@apna.asn.au, for a program proposal.
