More than 900 Calvary nurses to benefit from APNA membership

More than 900 Calvary nurses in aged care, home care and telehealth services are set to benefit from an agreement between Calvary and the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA).   

Under the agreement, Calvary Registered Nurses across Calvary’s 70 aged care homes, home care network and telehealth services gain access to APNA’s extensive range of member benefits, including:  

• Up-to-date education and resources 

• The latest industry news and guidelines  

• Communities, expert advice, and support 

• Career tools and additional benefits 

The agreement includes the provision of professional support from the APNA Nurse Support Line, staffed by senior registered nurses. The support line shares up-to-date information, best practice and clinical advice and is conveniently available via telephone or email. 

The Calvary nurses also benefit from an annual program of educational events, online learning programs and initiatives to help build their skills including leadership, chronic disease management, team-based nurse-led clinics, and supporting their transition to professional practice. 

Kerryn Vine-Camp, Calvary’s National Director of People and Corporate Services, reinforced that APNA membership recognises the critical role that Calvary’s nurses contribute to Calvary’s aged care, home care and telehealth settings.
