1. Promoter 

The promoter is the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) 

2. Eligibility 

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. 

Entrants must be nurses or nursing students. 

3. Competition period 

The competition opens at 9:00am AEST on Monday 7 July 2025 and closes at 12:00pm AEST on Friday 11 July 2025. 

4. How to enter 

Eligible individuals can enter in one of the following ways: 

a) If you purchase a ticket between 7 - 11 July 2025: 

Complete your ticket purchase via the official Festival of Nursing 2025 booking site. 

During the booking process, answer the following question in 150 words or less: 
“How will attending the Festival of Nursing help you on your journey to keep people well and out of hospital?” 

b) If you purchased your ticket prior to 7 July 2025: 

Send an email to engagement@apna.asn.au with your full name and response (150 words or less) to the above question. 

Use the subject line: Fast Track to FoN Entry 

Email must be received by 12:00pm AEST on Friday 11 July 2025. 

Only one entry per person is permitted. 

5. Judging criteria 

This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. 

All eligible responses will be judged by a panel of APNA representatives based on creativity, originality, and alignment with the theme. 

Judging will take place between 14-16 July 2025. 

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

6. Prizes 

Five (5) winners will each receive a full refund of their Festival of Nursing 2025 ticket purchase 

The Festival will be held in Brisbane from 24–26 July 2025. 

Travel, accommodation, and any other costs associated with attending the Festival are not included in the prize. 

The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. 

7. Winner notification & prize redemption 

Winners will be notified by email or phone using the contact details provided during ticket purchase or in the email entry. 

Winners will be notified by 5:00pm AEST on Friday 18 July 2025. 

Winners must respond and confirm acceptance of the prize within 4 days of notification. 

If a winner does not respond within 4 days, APNA reserves the right to withdraw the prize.  

8. Entry conditions 

Entries that are incomplete, offensive, or unrelated to the competition question will be deemed invalid. 

APNA reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these Terms and Conditions. 

9. Use of entries 

By entering the competition, participants grant APNA permission to use their name, professional role, and entry response in APNA’s promotional materials, including social media, email campaigns, and the APNA website. 

10. Tax implications 

APNA accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning this competition. Independent financial advice should be sought. 

11. Privacy 

By entering the competition, participants consent to the collection, storage, and use of their personal information by APNA for the purposes of conducting this promotion and for future marketing communications, in accordance with APNA’s Privacy Policy.

12. General 

APNA reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice. 

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
