Is the Festival only for APNA members?

Nope! The Festival is open to all primary health care nurses. If you’re not a member, you’re still welcome – but members do enjoy discounted ticket pricing (plus year-round benefits!).

Where is the Festival being held this year?

The 2025 Festival of Nursing is happening at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre – a central, well-connected location that makes attending easy whether you're local or flying in.

Do I have to attend all three days?

Not at all – one-day tickets are available if you can’t commit to the full program. But if you can stay the full three days, you'll get the most out of the experience and CPD hours.

How many CPD hours can I earn at the Festival of Nursing?

You can earn up to 20 CPD hours* by attending all three days of the Festival. With sessions, panels, workshops and expo learning opportunities, it’s a powerful way to top up your professional development in one go.

*CPD hours are estimated based on full 3-day attendance. Actual hours may vary depending on session choices and reflection. It’s your responsibility to self-record and report CPD activities in line with your professional requirements.

I want to attend the Festival — can my workplace purchase my ticket?

Yes, they can!

We understand it can be difficult to fund your own way to the Festival of Nursing, especially if you aren’t local to Queensland.

How do I record my CPD from the event?

We’ve made it easy with Florence, APNA’s new CPD tracking app. Just log your sessions and reflections as you go – it’s simple, streamlined and saves you time later.

Do you provide bulk discounts?

Absolutely – when you buy 5 tickets, you get the 6th free with our group discount. It’s the perfect way to share the experience (and the savings). Simply choose your quantity of 6 tickets at checkout and the discount will be automatically applied. 

Are there discounted hotels for Festival attendees?

Yes – we’ve secured special rates at nearby hotels to make your stay more affordable and convenient. Check out the Festival website for accommodation deals.

What else do I get with my ticket?

Beyond top-tier workshops and sessions, your ticket includes access to the exhibition hall, free sponsor goodies, exclusive APNA discounts, and networking with nurses from across the country.

Can I claim my ticket as a tax deduction?

Yes – attending the Festival counts as a professional development expense, which may be tax deductible, as can your APNA membership.

I’m in Queensland – should I still book now?

Definitely! With no need for flights or long-distance travel, QLD nurses are in the perfect spot to take advantage of the Festival. But tickets will sell quickly – especially for popular days – so secure yours early.
