Primary health care is any medical service that is provided outside the four walls of a hospital, including aged care, community health, general practice, custodial, schools and many other primary health care settings. Australia's 104,000+ primary health care nurses play a critical role in disease prevention and control to keep people healthy. They provide proactive care and health promotion to keep Australians well.

While you’ll all have a chance to meet Holly at our conference in May, here is her story so far.
In 2012 she was the youngest person to be named in Australia’s ‘100 Most Influential Women’, and also became the world’s youngest-ever Rotary President. In 2014 Holly was named by JCI Australia as one of the Ten Outstanding Young People of the Year, the same year the Australian Prime Minister appointed Holly to chair the G20 Youth Summit.
In 2016 Holly was appointed to Co-Chair of the United Nations Global Coalition of Young Women Entrepreneurs and became the youngest ever female Director of an AFL club with her appointment to the Port Adelaide Football Club board.
Did we mention she’s 26?
An accomplished global keynote speaker, Holly has presented across six continents including delivering a Peace Charter to the Dalai Lama and addressing the G20’s Central Bank Governors. If her face looks familiar, you may have seen her on Q&A, Reuters, Bloomberg Asia, Channel 7 News, or The Project.
Right now Holly is CEO of Emergent, a company specialising in the development of high performing inter-generational workforces, leadership and social outcomes. She is renowned for generating innovative solutions to complex multi-stakeholder problems for corporations, governments and non-profit organisations, and for professionally mentoring leaders around the world.
In welcoming Holly, APNA CEO David Malone said her contribution would build on the Board's collegiality, commitment, and strong breadth of experience. "I am delighted to welcome Holly to APNA. We invested considerable time and effort in identifying an appropriate person to complement the mix of skills provided by APNA's existing co-opted and elected directors. Holly will bring wonderful experience and further diversity to the Board."
We look forward to her participation and contribution. Welcome to the APNA community, Holly.
