Primary health care is any medical service that is provided outside the four walls of a hospital, including aged care, community health, general practice, custodial, schools and many other primary health care settings. Australia's 104,000+ primary health care nurses play a critical role in disease prevention and control to keep people healthy. They provide proactive care and health promotion to keep Australians well.

Each year, 4.1 million Australians miss out on free vaccinations under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).1 The vast majority of these are adults1 – putting them at increased risk of vaccine-preventable diseases like influenza, pneumococcal pneumonia and shingles.
Are you helping your patients to prevent these serious diseases?
Do you know who is eligible for free vaccination under the NIP?

Your actions can help to boost adult vaccination rates and help protect your patients from serious, yet preventable diseases.1
Community Immunity is a one-stop, online immunisation toolbox, developed in conjunction with Australian practice nurses,
to help you optimise adult vaccination rates in your practice.
Thousands of practice nurses across Australia access valuable and practical resources from Community Immunity each year.
