APNA has received endorsement for our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (Reflect RAP) from Reconciliation Australia.

Reconciliation requires us to move at the pace of trust. It is neither a 'tick-the-box' exercise nor a process to be rushed.

While APNA is used to acting quickly, we are focused on making sure we have a deep collective and individual understanding of our responsibility to reconciliation, rather than rushing into solutions or actions.

A Reflect RAP prepares our organisation to meaningfully engage in reconciliation and is part of APNA's broader commitment to diversity, inclusion and improving the health of all Australian communities. It will allow us to reflect on how we work as an organisation and what we need to do to develop stronger relationships.

Actions in the Reflect RAP include reviewing our current cultural awareness and cultural safety training modules and acknowledging key dates in the calendar. APNA will also examine how we can better support campaigns addressing health and social inequalities.

As an organisation, APNA is new to the reconciliation process and individual staff are at different stages of their personal experiences with reconciliation. Our role is to bring everyone along with us, in an environment where we can all learn together.

With our Reflect RAP to guide us, we're stepping into a future where reconciliation isn't just a word, it's a reality that APNA is proud to be a part of.
