Being an APNA member unlocks the benefit of purchasing APNA-member Professional Indemnity Insurance, covering your team's full scope of practice (except midwifery services) anywhere in the world (excluding USA and Canada).The APNA member policy covers nurses for work activities, providing they are suitably qualified and work by the NMBA registration standards, professional codes, and guidelines.

 

Adding or renewing Professional Indemnity Insurance

Do your nurses need to get insurance? If your nurses hold individual Professional Indemnity Insurance with APNA, they can renew their insurance here once their organisation membership has been renewed.

Are you a nurse under an organisation and need to get insurance? You can purchase insurance as long as your organisation has renewed your membership. Once your organisation renews its membership, you can renew your Professional Indemnity Insurance in one annual payment:

1. Log into your APNA account and go to your 'my insurance' page.
2. Click on the Purchase Insurance button.
3. Follow the steps to renew your Professional Indemnity Insurance.

1. Log into your APNA account and go to your 'manage my membership' page.
2. As you are the 'main organisation contact', you will see the Renew Organisation Membership button; click it.
3. Follow the steps to renew.
