The Aged Care Improvement Collaborative – seeking Expressions of Interest

APNA and other sector stakeholders, invites Victorian Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs) to participate in a Communities of Practice (CoP) project.

This initiative aims to improve Psychosocial Safety Climate (PSC) through system-level changes using Quality Improvement Collaborative (QIC) methodology and Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles.

Benefits of participation

  • Influence system-level changes within RACHs.
  • Improve workplace culture and reduce mental injury claims.
  • Access expert coaching and peer learning opportunities.
  • Reduce costs related to psychological risks and increase productivity.

Commitment required

  • Nominate two representatives (clinical and non-clinical) with authority to influence change.
  • Attend orientation and four workshops across 2026 - 2027.
  • Engage in PDSA cycles and share progress with the CoP.
  • Collect and share data for improvement.

Timeline highlights

  • Orientation: TBC
  • Workshops: March 2026 - February 2027 (schedule to be provided at Orientation).
  • CoP participation: February 2026 - February 2027.
  • Project completion: July 2027.
