Foundations of Aged Care workbook
The Foundations of Aged Care workbook is a tool to guide you in transitioning to aged care nursing, whether in the home, in a residential care facility, or providing flexible services. Developing a comprehensive understanding of aged care nursing should accompany workplace orientations, identifying areas where additional knowledge is needed.
Nurses will be taken through three key sections:
- Introduction to the workplace, staff and community
- Organisational approaches and systems in aged care
- Clinical domains of care
This workbook can be used to accompany an existing workplace orientation, help identify areas where additional knowledge is required, as well as a reference for continuing professional development (CPD).
