Comms Toolkit - National Nursing Clinical Placement Program

APNA needs your support to continue to grow our National Nursing Clinical Placement Program (NNCPP).

We are currently seeking additional workplaces to host student nurses in their primary healthcare settings across Australia. We've put together this toolkit for nurses, employers and organisations, including Primary Health Networks, to help you help us reach as many workplaces as possible! The content on this page will be updated regularly to reflect our current campaigns.

Don't forget - if you have a good news story about a placement in your workplace, please let us know! We love to share them in our regular Clinical Placement Programs newsletters and on our website

Action checklist

Here are some suggestions for promoting NNCPP:

  • Include information about our placement programs in your newsletters/publications
  • Include information about our placement programs on your website or intranet.
  • Post about our placement programs on your social media channels or share APNA's posts
  • Directly email nurses or workplaces on your database
  • Include information about our placement programs on your website or intranet

Sample content

We have put together the following examples of content to promote NNCPP. These can be adapted to your audience, provided the key information does not change.

Hosting a student nurse in your workplace is easier than you think.

With APNA's National Nursing Clinical Placement Program, the process is as simple as possible.

  • We handle the paperwork so you don't have to.
  • We offer expert training and support every step of the way.
  • Based on your workplace's requirements, we match you with the right student at the right time.

This leaves you to focus on your patients and sharing your passion for primary health care with the next generation of nurses.

In return for your support, you will gain valuable mentoring and leadership experience, and we will pay your workplace for each placement.

And with students returning to work with their hosts after graduating, you might find your next superstar employee!
