Caring@home - Teaching carers/families to use subcutaneous medicines to help manage symptoms
These modules introduce resources to support community-based primary health care nurses to teach carers/families to help manage end-of-life symptoms for a person at home. The resources focus on teaching carers/families to safely use subcutaneous medicines thereby supporting best-practice palliative care for patients who wish to be cared for, and to die at home, if possible. CPD hours: 1 hours.
This OLM is designed to provide midwives and clinicians providing antenatal care in NSW, with the tools to identify priority populations for antenatal syphilis testing, and distinguish the stages of syphilis infection based on a patient’s history/clinical presentation. This one-hour OLM will outline treatment guidelines, including more complex clinical scenarios, as well as the process of contract tracing after diagnosis. CPD hours: 1 hour.
