These national Standards clearly articulate the standard of computer literacy, information literacy and information management required of all nurses and midwives, for practice.
The Practice Standards are for the benefit of all school nurses and school communities in guiding consistency for competent and safe practice.
Nurses and midwives must be registered with the NMBA, and meet the NMBA's professional standards in order to practise in Australia. Includes the Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Code of Professional Conduct.
This document has been developed to explain
aspects of the visual representation of the Framework.
Appendices are included to provide clarity and context
for stakeholders such as practice managers, health care
providers, education providers and the community. This document represents the first stage in the process of developing an education and career framework for nurses in general practice.
